About The Artist
George Carpendale was born in 1978. Primarily a self taught artist, he is inspired by Irish country life that has surrounded him since his childhood. George has been painting for over 20 years and has experimented with many different artistic styles during this time.
George has always been inspired by the work of the old masters and classical European art but equally by the skill and ideas of contemporary artists working today. George brings these two contrasting styles together in a complementary way by creating the Iolrachas (Irish for Pluralism) Artistic Movement.
George has previously exhibited at the following locations:
- Greenacres Art Gallery, Wexford
- William Street Gallery, Kilkenny
- Irish Art Man Gallery, Dingle, Co Kerry
- Kilbaha Gallery, Loop Head, Co Clare
- National Crafts Fair of Ireland Exhibition, RDS Main Hall, Dublin
- Tuckmill Gallery, Naas, Co Kildare
George’s paintings are on display in private collections in Ireland, UK, France and the U.S.
